For this commit, the included .aip file, and qortal.jar, match what was used to produce the installer for release v1.2.2. In a future commit, maybe remove qortal.jar as it is only included here to illustrate current location in build tree. Updates to .aip file could be, and maybe even should be, committed. This build toolchain uses AdvancedInstaller v16 or better but may require an (expensive) enterprise licence. It is possible to obtain an 'open source'-use free licence from AdvancedInstaller by contacting them directly. However this may result in restricted functionality with AdvancedInstaller and some installer features, e.g. multi-language support, may have be to removed.

# Windows installer

|
|
## Prerequisites
|
|
|
|
* AdvancedInstaller v16 or better, and enterprise licence if translations are required
|
|
* Installed AdoptOpenJDK v11 64bit, full JDK *not* JRE
|
|
|
|
## General build instructions
|
|
|
|
If this is your first time opening the `qortal.aip` file then you might need to adjust
|
|
configured paths, or create a dummy `D:` drive with the expected layout.
|
|
|
|
Typical build procedure:
|
|
|
|
* Overwrite the `qortal.jar` file in `Install-Files\`
|
|
* Open AdvancedInstaller with qortal.aip file
|
|
* If releasing a new version, change version number in:
|
|
+ "Product Information" side menu
|
|
+ "Product Details" side menu entry
|
|
+ "Product Details" tab in "Product Details" pane
|
|
+ "Product Version" entry box
|
|
* Click away to a different side menu entry, e.g. "Resources" -> "Files and Folders"
|
|
* You should be prompted whether to generate a new product key, click "Generate New"
|
|
* Click "Build" button
|
|
* New EXE should be generated in `Qortal-SetupFiles\` folder with correct version number
|
