# Default Setup Checklist
|
|
|
|
Use this checklist after creating your account.
|
|
|
|
## Main Computer
|
|
|
|
1. Sign in to NuQloud in a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Chromium.
|
|
2. Open the Dashboard.
|
|
3. Use the Install NuQloud App button to install the PWA.
|
|
4. Pin the NuQloud app to your taskbar, dock, or launcher.
|
|
5. Install the compatible desktop Files sync app if you want automatic local folder sync.
|
|
|
|
## Account Safety
|
|
|
|
1. Create or attach your decentralized account if prompted.
|
|
2. Save your backup/auth file.
|
|
3. Store a copy somewhere safe.
|
|
4. Enable managed recovery if your provider offers it and you want provider-assisted recovery.
|
|
5. Review app approval settings in your NuQloud account settings.
|
|
|
|
## Files
|
|
|
|
1. Create folders for common work areas such as Documents, Photos, Projects, and Shared.
|
|
2. Move or upload files from your old cloud.
|
|
3. Share folders with people who need access.
|
|
4. Install desktop sync for folders you want backed up automatically.
|
|
5. Enable mobile auto-upload if you want photo backup.
|
|
|
|
## Communication
|
|
|
|
1. Open Talk and test a direct message.
|
|
2. Join any shared chat rooms your team uses.
|
|
3. Install the compatible Talk mobile app if you need mobile notifications or calls.
|
|
4. Connect Mail if you want NuQloud to act as your webmail client.
|
|
|
|
## Groupware
|
|
|
|
1. Import contacts if you are moving from another provider.
|
|
2. Create or import calendars.
|
|
3. Set up mobile calendar and contacts sync if needed.
|
|
4. Create Deck boards for recurring tasks or projects.
|
|
5. Try Notes for plain text and Markdown notes.
|
|
|
|
## Decentralized Features
|
|
|
|
1. Request initial publishing credits if needed.
|
|
2. Register a name before publishing or using identity-based decentralized features.
|
|
3. Try opening the NuQloud Apps area.
|
|
4. Publish a test file to QDN from the Files interface.
|
|
5. Confirm you understand the difference between cloud storage and decentralized publishing.
