Decentralized Publishing

NuQloud includes a Qortal-powered decentralized publishing layer.

Ordinary NuQloud Files storage is cloud storage. Decentralized publishing is a separate action that publishes selected data to QDN.

Why Publish to QDN

Use decentralized publishing when you want:

• Data available outside the normal cloud account.
• A QDN resource that can be accessed through Qortal-compatible tools.
• A file or folder represented in Q-Manager.
• Extra resilience through decentralized availability.

What You Need First

Before publishing, you may need:

• A NuQloud account.
• A linked decentralized account.
• Publishing credits.
• A registered name.

If you do not have publishing credits, request initial credits from your provider or admin.

Publish From Files

1. Open NuQloud Files in the web/PWA interface.
2. Right-click a file or folder, or open the action menu.
3. Choose the QDN publish action.
4. Review the publish estimate.
5. Confirm.
6. Wait for the publish to finish.

Published Status Indicators

NuQloud may show indicators for:

• Published.
• Stale, meaning the local file changed after publishing.
• Unpublished.
• Folder contains published files.

If a file is stale, publish it again to update the QDN copy.

Private Publishing

Private publishing encrypts file data before publishing.

Use private publishing for personal files, backups, and files that should not be readable publicly.

Keep in mind:

• Encryption protects the content.
• Metadata such as resource existence may still be visible depending on the publish type.
• You need the right key information to read private content later.

Public Publishing

Public publishing is readable by anyone who can access the QDN resource.

Use public publishing only for data you intentionally want public.

Guaranteed Redundancy Add-On Packages

Your provider may offer guaranteed redundancy packages.

These are designed to improve the chance that your published decentralized data remains available by arranging additional storage, pinning, mirroring, or provider-side replication.

Ask your provider:

• What data is covered.
• How many replicas are included.
• Whether private encrypted data stays encrypted.
• How restoration is handled.
• Whether there are size or frequency limits.

Accessing Published Data

Published NuQloud decentralized data may be accessible through:

• NuQloud Files indicators and actions.
• NuQloud Apps.
• Q-Manager.
• Qortal-compatible browsers or gateways.
• Direct QDN resource paths.

Important Safety Notes

• Do not publish sensitive files publicly.
• Keep backup/auth files private.
• Confirm the publish mode before publishing.
• Publishing may use credits.
• Deleting a cloud file does not necessarily remove an already published QDN resource.
