# Q-Mail
|
|
|
|
Q-Mail is secure mail-style messaging through the Qortal decentralized network. It is separate from ordinary email.
|
|
|
|
Use NuQloud Mail for normal email accounts.
|
|
|
|
Use Q-Mail when you want Qortal-based secure messages.
|
|
|
|
## What You Need
|
|
|
|
To use Q-Mail, you usually need:
|
|
|
|
- A linked decentralized account.
|
|
- A registered name.
|
|
- Publishing credits.
|
|
- Access to the Q-Mail app through NuQloud Apps or a Qortal-compatible browser.
|
|
|
|
## Open Q-Mail
|
|
|
|
1. Open NuQloud Apps.
|
|
2. Open Q-Mail if it is listed.
|
|
3. Approve any required account access prompts.
|
|
4. Wait for mail data to load.
|
|
|
|
## Send a Message
|
|
|
|
1. Choose compose or new message.
|
|
2. Enter the recipient name.
|
|
3. Write your message.
|
|
4. Attach files if the app supports it.
|
|
5. Send.
|
|
6. Approve the request if NuQloud prompts you.
|
|
|
|
## Receiving Messages
|
|
|
|
Messages may take time to appear depending on network conditions.
|
|
|
|
If a message does not appear:
|
|
|
|
- Refresh Q-Mail.
|
|
- Confirm your registered name.
|
|
- Confirm the sender used the correct name.
|
|
- Check whether your decentralized account is unlocked.
|
|
|
|

## Safety
|
|
|
|
- Do not assume ordinary email recipients can read Q-Mail.
|
|
- Do not send passwords or recovery secrets.
|
|
- Check recipient names carefully.
|
|
- Keep your decentralized account backup safe.
