# Files, Folders, and Sharing

|
|
NuQloud Files is where you store, organize, preview, sync, and share your files.
|
|
|
|
## Basic File Actions
|
|
|
|
In Files, you can:
|
|
|
|
- Upload files.
|
|
- Create folders.
|
|
- Rename files and folders.
|
|
- Move or copy items.
|
|
- Download files.
|
|
- Restore deleted files if recovery is available.
|
|
- View older versions when version history is available.
|
|
|
|
## Sharing With People
|
|
|
|
To share privately:
|
|
|
|
1. Select a file or folder.
|
|
2. Open sharing options.
|
|
3. Enter a NuQloud user or group.
|
|
4. Choose permissions.
|
|
5. Save the share.
|
|
|
|
Common permissions:
|
|
|
|
- View only.
|
|
- Edit.
|
|
- Create.
|
|
- Delete.
|
|
- Reshare.
|
|
|
|
Only give edit/delete access to people who should be able to change the files.
|
|
|
|
## Public Link Sharing
|
|
|
|
To create a public link:
|
|
|
|
1. Select a file or folder.
|
|
2. Open sharing options.
|
|
3. Create a public link.
|
|
4. Set a password if the file is sensitive.
|
|
5. Set an expiration date when appropriate.
|
|
6. Send the link.
|
|
|
|
Use public links carefully. Anyone with the link may be able to access the item, depending on your settings.
|
|
|
|
## Anonymous Uploads
|
|
|
|
If enabled by your provider, a folder can accept uploads from people who do not have a NuQloud account.
|
|
|
|
Good use cases:
|
|
|
|
- Collect documents from clients.
|
|
- Receive event photos.
|
|
- Let outside collaborators submit files.
|
|
|
|
Avoid using anonymous upload folders for private or regulated data unless your provider has approved the workflow.
|
|
|
|
## Sharing From Other Apps
|
|
|
|
NuQloud sharing also appears in other areas:
|
|
|
|
- Notes can be shared with users or groups.
|
|
- Deck boards and cards can be shared with collaborators.
|
|
- Talk rooms can be shared with invited participants.
|
|
- Calendar events can invite people by email.
|
|
|
|
## Cloud Share vs QDN Publish
|
|
|
|
A cloud share controls access inside NuQloud.
|
|
|
|
A QDN publish creates a decentralized published resource. QDN publishing is separate from ordinary sharing and may use publishing credits.
|
|
|
|
Use ordinary sharing for daily collaboration. Use QDN publishing when you specifically want decentralized availability.
