# Talk, Chat, Calls, and Meetings
NuQloud Talk is for chat, audio calls, video calls, screen sharing, and team rooms.
## Start a Chat
1. Open Talk.
2. Search for a person or room.
3. Send a message.
4. Use attachments when you need to share files.
## Create a Room
1. Open Talk.
2. Create a new conversation.
3. Add users or groups.
4. Choose whether the room is private or link-accessible.
5. Name the room clearly.
## Calls and Meetings
In a room, use the call button to start an audio or video call.
Common meeting tools:
- Mute/unmute microphone.
- Enable/disable camera.
- Share screen.
- Send chat messages during the call.
- Invite participants.
## Mobile Talk App
Until NuQloud has its own branded mobile Talk app, use the compatible Talk mobile app.
Use it for:
- Chat notifications.
- Audio and video calls.
- Quick replies.
- Mobile meeting access.
## Desktop Notifications
The compatible desktop sync app and Talk app can help provide desktop notifications, depending on your operating system and browser permissions.
If notifications do not appear:
1. Check browser notification permissions.
2. Check operating system notification settings.
3. Check Talk app settings.
4. Make sure Do Not Disturb is disabled.
## Decentralized Talk Bridge
Some NuQloud deployments include a Talk bridge for selected decentralized group messages or announcements.
If enabled, your provider will tell you:
- Which rooms are bridged.
- Who can configure bridge mappings.
- Which messages are relayed.
